The American Red Cross Honors Plateau Systems with Circle of Humanitarian Award

Plateau Systems Recognized for $1 Million Donation

WASHINGTON, DC — August 17, 2006 - The American Red Cross today proudly announced that Plateau Systems, a leading provider of training and performance management software and solutions, received the prestigious Circle of Humanitarian award in recognition of a generous $1 million gift of software and services. The in-kind gift will help facilitate and expedite training for Red Cross volunteers, as well as members of the public, through Red Cross classes and emergency training courses. The Circle of Humanitarian award, one of the organization's highest honors, recognizes companies and individuals whose contributions provide life-saving support through Red Cross programs.

Plateau Systems has helped the Red Cross develop and expand key aspects of the organization's Enterprise Learning Management System. The system is used by participating Red Cross chapters to streamline student registration, scheduling and payment for those interested in taking online courses. In addition to tracking training history and managing certifications for more than two million students, comprised of Red Cross volunteers and employees and public course participants, the system also manages course instructor reauthorizations.
