CTO Ed Cohen to Present Strategies on How to Build Business Value
Arlington, Va. • January 30, 2006 - Plateau Systems, a leading provider of software for developing, managing and optimizing organizational skills and talent, will present a conference session on learning and performance management at ASTD TechKnowledge 2006. The session will provide attendees with tactical approaches to the application of extended learning models within an organization.
ASTD TechKnowledge 2006 Conference & Exhibition will be held January 31 through February 2 in Denver, CO. The annual learning conference offers five conference tracks designed to provide attendees with information and tools to broaden knowledge, increase understanding and assist in development of a complete elearning experience.

This session includes a discussion of how companies are extending the use of a learning management system (LMS) to their employees, vendors and customer bases. As part of this process, the training department has changed function from pure overhead to a profit center. Pitfalls of the globalization and localization of training material will also be covered.
WHY: Session attendess will be able to:
- assess the value and application of extended learning models;
- develop the business justification for creating an extended learning model;
- use key factors to create an extended learning model and measure the results; and
- craft a business plan with clear goals for implementing an extended learning model.
