Plateau Systems Named 2004 Arlington Technology Company of the Year

Arlington, Va. • November 11, 2004 - Plateau Systems, a leading provider of enterprise software that manages learning and knowledge readiness, today announced that it has been named the 2004 Arlington Technology Company of the Year by the Arlington Chamber of Commerce.

"Our decision to locate in Arlington three years ago was a great one," said Brian Murphy, president and COO of Plateau. "Its central location, highly talented employee pool, and top-flight retail stores and restaurants make it hard to beat. Given the number of other high caliber technology companies that have also headquartered here over the past few years – our competition for the award – we consider this quite an honor."

The Technology Company of the Year award is presented to the company that has made a positive impact on the Arlington community through its hard work and its persistent development of high-quality services, products and marketing and sales initiatives. Since locating its headquarters in Arlington in 2001, Plateau has grown its revenues and employee base steadily. The company now employs over 100 people at its offices on North Glebe Road.

Arlington is quickly becoming a coveted location for growing businesses in the region. Other well-known companies headquartered in the county include: AES Corporation; U.S. Airways; Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Company; United Defense Industries; and CACI.

For Plateau, this honor is the latest in a string of awards.
