Plateau has validated interoperability between Plateau 4 Learning Management System (LMS) and Oracle9i technology, which includes the Oracle9i Database and Oracle9i Application Server. Plateau 4 LMS is built using Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) technology, considered an industry standard for enterprise software. Plateau enables Global 2000 corporations, government agencies and nonprofit associations to consolidate all Web-based, classroom and on-the-job learning and knowledge readiness initiatives on the e-Learning industry's most scalable LMS.
The Oracle and Plateau solution has been selected by one of the largest federal civilian agencies in the U.S. government, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), a branch of the new Department of Homeland Security. TSA is currently implementing Plateau 4 LMS and Oracle9i technology to manage learning and consolidate its national training database for more than 55,000 personnel on one platform. Under a project managed by Lockheed Martin, this will give TSA administrators a holistic view of all training and knowledge readiness needs for its personnel across the nation.
