Three-Day Event Will Explore Current Industry and Technology Issues, Provide Real-World Stories and In-Depth Training on Plateau LMS

Arlington, VA -- April 3, 2002 -- Plateau Systems, a provider of enterprise software that manages learning and knowledge processes for organizations, today announced that internationally recognized author and e-Learning consultant Elliott Masie will be the keynote speaker at Insights 2002, Plateau's annual user conference, to be held in Washington, D.C. from April 28-May 1.

Plateau expects more than 100 clients and partners from around the world to attend Insights. In addition to Masie, the conference will feature e-Learning success stories from industry leaders, panel discussions on current technology and industry issues, and hands-on product training. Executives from Genzyme, Xcel Energy, DeGussa Corp. and other organizations will describe how they use the Plateau Learning Management System (LMS) to manage organizational knowledge, satisfy regulators and create an enterprise-wide learning infrastructure at their companies.

A lifelong educator, Masie heads the MASIE Center in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., a think tank devoted to helping businesses use technology to enhance learning and boost workplace productivity. Masie advises a range of government groups on learning technology issues, and leads a consortium of Fortune 500 companies exploring the future of technology in the workplace.

The main goal of Insights 2002 is to empower our clients and partners to use Plateau LMS in a way that creates tangible returns throughout their organizations, said Paul Sparta, chairman and CEO of Plateau Systems. Attendees can exchange ideas and compare notes about the effectiveness of knowledge management, hear compelling case histories, and ask our staff all the tough questions they can think of.

A series of breakout sessions and roundtables will focus on four tracks: technology; regulated industries; LMS applications; and in-depth tutorials on the Plateau LMS. Global Plateau partners will also address the conference.

Throughout the conference, senior Plateau executives will give presentations on the company's e-Learning products and the state of the industry, including an update on the status of emerging standards efforts by groups such as SCORM and AICC.
