Plateau and Brainshark to Integrate Rapid Deployment Rich-Media Authoring Capabilities into Learning Management System

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA, August 15, 2001 - Plateau Systems, a provider of software that manages learning and improves business processes for organizations, and Brainshark, a provider of self-service rich-media communications, have agreed to provide a solution to customers that instantly deploys rich-media courseware to their employees, clients and partners around the globe.
Under the agreement, Plateau will integrate the Brainshark Communications Platform into Plateau's learning management system upon request. Plateau customers with basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint will be able to rapidly create rich media presentations that include voice instruction, and load them onto the Plateau LMS course catalog. Learners anywhere in the world can then click on the course and be linked automatically to Brainshark's hosted solution.
When a supervisor needs to rapidly create and distribute training information to personnel in the field, they don't have time to wait for instructional designers to write a new course and load it into the company's learning management system. The integration will allow sales forces, engineering teams, financial consultants and marketing experts to create and launch mission-critical training programs within minutes. The Plateau LMS will then schedule and track all learners who take the course.
The agreement also states that Brainshark and Plateau will respond to customer requests and work together to deliver an integrated product to market.
