How to Deploy and Validate your eLMS in 30 Days
Genzyme
Training and more importantly, the need to document and provide evidence of training has been a critical (yet elusive) quality system component for any company involved in the Pharmaceutical industry. We all know that training will be parto fo every regulatory investigation, submission and audit and we ensure that each and every facility has "their" system in place and that they system is functional. But, what happens when you wake up one day and realize thatyour company is now global and all of those individual facilities now share products, processes and staff? Each facility having "their" unique system now becomes a liability and a common solution needs to be found. Genzyme Corporation faced this issue at the beginning of 2007 and initiated a project to upgrade and deploy Plateau version 5.8 to our global operations. The choice of Plateau? Easy! Now, our only problem, how do you deploy, TRAIN, and VALIDATE a new eLMS in 30-days?

Challenges in Undertaking a Global Implementation of Plateau Learning
Rolls-Royce
Last year, Rolls-Royce undertook a global implementation of Plateau Learning, which was delivered to time and budget in December 2008. Along the way, there were several issues that we had to deal with as a consequence of implementing globally such as:

  • multiple languages for the system and course information
  • multiple currencies
  • when is a course 'global' and when is it 'local'
  • different stages of readiness of the businesses and regions
  • different stages of readiness and accuracy of employee data

The presentation will cover how these issues were addressed, what went well and what we are continuing to work on during 2009.

Defense Logistics Agency contractor with R.Dorsey & Company
Can you guarantee that the person who is using your Learning Management System is the person they claim to be? Even with password-protected systems, it is not uncommon for sites to be compromised and for users to accidently lose or share their credentials. Building Bridges from Talent Management to Business Goals
Southern Nuclear
What is the business goal? Safely produce enough electricity to meet growing capacity demands and keep ROI to where stockholders can continue to receive a dividend. What are the challenges to achieving the business goal?

  • Constantly growing regulatory requirements- NRC, NEI, INPO, OSHA, FERC, DOT, DOE
  • Frequently raising of the bar on performance perception and metrics. Not just "are activities completed successfully", but "how safe was the activity", "how well are tasks done", and "how well did training prepare personnel to perform?"
  • Preparing a new generation of employees while maintaining the current workforce performance standards in our highly technical industry.

How do we meet these challenges? The Plateau Learning application of the Plateau Talent Management System provides the tools and process support to develop and maintain the well trained workforce necessary for us to reach our business goals. This presentation will detail the vital areas of our business processes where Plateau significantly contributes to meeting our challenges.
